A simple altered box graphic 45 botanical tea

Hi everyone,

My mother found a box at walmart with a heart and she asked me to alter it for her, but to keep it simple.

(very difficult task mind you)

So I painted it in buttermilk with craftsmart paint then added graphic 45 botanical tea dye Flora paper (both sides of paper) for top, sides and bottom.

A ruffled light mauve trim from my stash

I used pearl string around the heart and WOC rose and Prima fabric flower for the embellishment.

It is very difficult to leave it like this... I soo want to add more flower around the heart... but simple norma.. simple.. (my mantra)

Altered Clock.. from blue beach to a girlie shabby chic!

Hi Everyone,

I found this awesome clock at the goodwill store for $2 dollars! It was blue with a beach scene...
and you know me... girlyfied it!

I spray painted the clock with white and light pink rustoleum spray paint. I then measured and cut up DCWV Tea Party Paper on the front, top and sides.
I added pearl string to the top edge and an angel charm to hang from the top.

The bottom corner has wild orchid craft roses with pearls peeking out from the top of a paper doily (tim holtz tea dye ink for color) swirls of recollections pearls are climbing from the right and the left top corner has small WOC roses clustered together.

I kept this box simply vintage chic as it is a gift from my mother to her sister. Simple but totally girlie! =) Thanks for reading!

Blog sign Creation!

Hi Everyone,

So my wonderful and super talented best friend (miabellacreationz) Created this awesome background in teal and hints of dark blue.. and she hated it.. she actually was going to toss it! The horror!..lol.. if she's reading this she'll kill me later..lol..

anyway, I thought it was awesome and made it my own. =) We have two very different styles but I love her backgrounds! =)

So what I have is a tear bear I purchased from inspiredbyyou on ebay in approx 6 inches. The wording I created on my silhouette with Alice In wonderland font (love that font)

on the top left corner is an applique white butterfly with a wired white glitterd  butterfly (sprayed with heidi swap teal spray)

Top right is a prima rose resin dusted with tim holtz evergreen and faded jeans ink. and two WOC roses in teal and white.

The bottom left has blue lace from my stash a white prima doily, tim holtz memory key gesso'd in white, a recollections tiny spool gesso'd in white and wrapped with pearl string.

I also have a tim holtz vial filled with white and teal tiny loose beads, prima hello pastel flowers and more WOC roses. Thanks for stopping by!
