Hi Everyone,
I purchased a $2 bird cage from Michaels in white and went surfing on youtube to see what others did with it.
I originally wanted to put scented flowers inside and just decorate it with roses.. but i was totally inspired by (scrapsbuttonsnbows) on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mg_0XIlqpb4
I started with the $1 dollar tree clear candle stick. I put some mini pink pearls and 4' pearls inside the candle part. then I hot glued it to the bird cage. I then tucked some pink tulle through the swirls of the bird cage leaving a bow by the hinges.
The lace is two different types of lace.
and of course the roses are all Wild orchid craft roses and flowers in pink and two tone pink. from 40mm down to 10mm. The charm is an articake charm and the stamp is from Whimsy Stamp a Wee Fairy colored with copics R81,83,85

Vintage Valentines Cigar Box
Hi Everyone,
I was checking the blogs I follow and found a challenge for Fussy and Fancy Friday
http://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/challenge-106-vintage.html
which the host May chose Vintage..
I love vintage.. =) So I decided to make a vintage valentine cigar box gift for my parents.
Cigar Box: My fathers cigars
Paint: Americana Buttermilk
Papers: GCD "Botanique"
Papers: Recollections "Script Cream"
Papers" Heidy Swapp Folder (butterfly collection i think)
Flowers: Wild Orchid Craft Roses
Frame: Michaels'
Sticker: Embellishments pack from the dollar tree
I painted the cigar box in buttermilk, on top is used Botanique (used golden gel medium to adhere) the sides I used the Script paper and on the inside I used Heidy Swapp Folder cut up to fit. The doillie in the back is a vintage crochet doillie that I purchased from an antique store. I also used vintage lace, a picture of my parents inside a micheals frame. The frame i painted in buttermilk then "painted" Tim Holtz tea dye on top to give it a more vintage brown look. The acrylic beads are from michaels all flowers are from WIld Orchid Crafts.

Paris Theme Party Planning and Decorations- The Start
Hi Everyone,
So I was asked to do my Mother in Laws 60th birthday. I decided to do a paris theme.. of course i have been dying to do a paris party for a while now especially for my daughter...but since I had already started her cowgirl theme party..I have to wait 2 more years before I can do a paris party..soooo this is practice for when I eventually do the paris theme for my daughter. =)
What I've done already is the Main Table centerpiece as well as a keepsake for my Mother in Law to remember her party.
The main table will have my Towers and eiffel tower on each end, black 4 tier cupcake tower in the center, 2 fenton silver crest tiers (2 tier) on each side of the cupcake tower with chocolates and chocolate covered fruits.
My Idea for the buffet candy table is to also have towers but smaller and an eiffel tower wine bottle rack. (huge)
My centerpieces, i'm thinking of going with a small dollar tree vase, covering it with stripped black/white or pink/white paper and adding roses and a small 3d eiffel tower.. still debating..
Here are the pictures of what i've already come up with.

Family Vintage Lace Wood Plaque with pictures
Hi Everyone,
I was walking Michaels (yeah i know when do I not go to Michaels) anyway, I spotted this wooden sign that said family and had two picture frames hanging from it.
I decided to alter it to fit my style. =)
The wood was all painted with Buttermilk from Americana paints. I then used paper from DCWV French COuntry. (the letters were not easy.. I took an exacto knife and just cut out the outline from the top of the letter.. it came out ok.. not perfect, but then that's a creation. =)
I added Wild Orchid Craft Roses and a whole bunch of vintage lace scraps. I also painted a doily in buttermilk and painted a fabric doily as well. as a finishing touch I added recollections pearl adhesives on each frame
Hope you like. Thanks for reading
