Altered Pin Book using Graphic 45 Secret Garden Vintage Lace

Hi Crafters!

I was organizing my craft room and found this Mcgill storage case (flower tools holder) and decided to turn in to a pin book.

Supplies used:
Graphic 45 Secret Garden Fabric
Fabri-Tac
Lace Trim
Felt sheet
foam sheet (can keep using felt sheets i just used foam because i had it)
Vintage lace/fabric trim
Pins

First step was applying fabric Tac to storage case and then placing it down on a quarter fabric of secret garden. I cut out the excess but left enough that it would fold over to hide my edges. I then placed felt on the inside of the case to cover all the foldeded edges again just applying glue to the case and laying down the felt. cutting the excess. (used cutter bee to cut close to the edge)

I then stapled a sheet of folded thin foam (one top and one bottom staple)to my case. (staples are TH very small and stapled to felt not actual case). once that was done I started applying different types of lace trim to get the look I was going for. Once the fabri tac was dry on one side I'd work on the other.

Here is my completed book. Happy Crafting!

Prima Color Bloom Spray WOC Roses Name sign

Hi everyone!

I made this canvas a few weeks ago. Love it.

I used a 5*6 canvas textured it using the art is stencil then sprayed it with Prima's Iris, Cobalt and Teal.

The wooden letters are from Michaels painted white. The butterflies are recollection butterflies and the roses and WOC roses and a stray i don't know where i got it from. =) (the large blue).

This sign now hangs in my room. Thanks for reading!

Altered ceramic book box

Hi everyone,

So my mother bought one of those ceramic style books they sell at Ross for 5.99 and she wanted me to alter it. (it had ships painted on).

What i did to start is I gesso'd the front, back and sides of the book. Then I spot measured some paper from DCWV lace and linen collection and added it to the front, back and side.

I took a script stamp from inkadinkado and inked it with TH vintage photo. The edges and sides are laced up using lace trim and the side panel has a wider bridal lace trim.

The flower are all WOC roses and butterflies used are memory box dies viviene and darla i think.

The sentiment is from Bo Bunny. Love the way it came out. Thanks for reading!

Altered Bottle using Magnolia Tilda n Lace

Hi Everyone,

I have joined facebook and have become part of some amazing groups! This is an altered bottle swap I entered in 4G's (Girls, Giggles, Glitter & Glue).

The original bottle is a blue halloween bottle from Joanns. I wiped it with a napkin and gesso(so it wouldn't be bright blue)

then I covered the bottle with 6 inch wide bridal lace.n added a rose applique to go around the bottle. some different types of smaller lace to go from the bottom of the neck to the top. The bottle is covered by a cork stopper which i glued a shabby pink chiffon flower.

Roses used are always WOC. Magnolia Tilda colored with copics. Lalaland hearts banner die and a Bo Bunny noteworthy inspire tag.I finished the bottle by adding a 5 inch wide pink lace draped like a scarf.

Thank you and I hope my swap partner likes it!

Altered Dollar Store Hand Mirror (FInnabair/Angela Holt Style)

Hi Everyone!

I saw they carried the silver hand held mirrors at the dollar store.. and thought.. hmmm..i can so alter that....

So.. Process:

Gessoed the front and back of mirror with a thin brush (so it wouldn't get on the glass but then i ended up putting a picture.. but good to have the option there). then sprayed with lindy's baby blue eyes, and passionate plum (back).

I cut out a vintage girl picture i found on pinterest http://www.pinterest.com/anjoja/vintage-children/

Then I started layering WOC roses, metals and flower again.. Once it was all laid down I gessoed then went spray happy.

I  Sprayed it with Lindy's baby Blue eyes aqua, Lindy's passionate plum, and love at first sight,Prima color spray cobalt, Prima color spray iris, Heidi Swapp amethyst, Dylusions london blue (strong color). (in that order) ( I was having fun..)

dried with heat gun then...

The Front I PAINTED with Liquidex Cerulean blue hue acrylic paint mixed with a bit of gesso to to match my flower colors

Altered Lace mini teacup and saucer (plate)

Hi everyone,

I found this awesome little set for $1.00 at goodwill in all white. Pppeeerrfeccttt!!

I started with the plate. i used a square 5 inch lace that I hot glued in the center (folding it so it would do a circle) i cut the edge of the crochet lace so that it drapped right over the edge of the plate. I then added a doily to cover the center. (yes it will be thick in the center)

The tea cup itself I wrapped with a wide lace going THROUGH the hole of the handle and cutting the excess at the bottom. I then wrapped a thick lace applique that reached from one end of the handle to the other side. then I hot glued it down to the plate. The corner has WOC roses hot glued down with a pearl string from start of pink flower and wrapping around bottom of plate to the other side of flowers.

The inside is filled with polyfil which i placed INSIDE a white stretchy headband then i just stuffed it back into the cup.(no glue) The edge has a pearl string with mini roses on the top. (glued down)

Thank you for reading! hope you get inspired to create a lacy cup!! =)
